EU to send observers to the next national elections

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held talks with EU Head of Foreign Affairs and Security and Joseph Borrell Fontles, vice president of the European Commission.

The Prime Minister said he has discussed with EU Commission Vice President Joseph Borrell about Ethiopia’s progress towards prosperity and the issues of the region.

He said on his Twitter page that Ethiopia will continue its path of change.

Joseph Borrell, head of the European Union’s Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, said that the Union would support the reforms taking place in Ethiopia.

In addition, the EU Election Observation team will also be sent to Ethiopia to observe the next Ethiopian elections.
