The Mayor of Addis Ababa city Engineer Takele Uma has inagurated the start of a traffic control.
The development of the this center is contracted by a long time partner in constructions in Ethiopia; China Communication Construction Company. The company estimates this construction will take around a year and half from start to finnish.
The traffic control center will cost tax payers around 26 million US dollars.
It will give data on traffic conditions, change span of traffic lights relying upon stream of traffic and distinguish petty criminal offenses.
The center will have four underground floors and also hold working areas for civil servants, a traffic control room with modern setting and fault control systems.
